The Clive Davis Institute of Recorded Music of New York University's Tisch School of the Arts invites applications for a full-time Events Coordinator position to plan and implement special events that meet the strategic goals of the Clive Davis Institute of Recorded Music, including: conferences, screenings, receptions, student performance showcases, etc. Qualified candidates are able to conceptualize themes, present ideas, research requests, assess feasibility, and make recommendations to ensure the implementation of successful, targeted events for our students.
This person will consult with the Administrative Director on management of events, research vendors, options, pricing structures, project expenses, determine staffing, space, and equipment needs, orchestrate marketing and publicity for all events, conduct post-event evaluations, and recommend future improvements.
Position open until filled.
3 years experience planning and implementing special events or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Knowledge of and/or experience working in the music industry; related experience in an academic and/or non-profit/creative arts environment.
Strong customer service skills; highly creative individual with the ability to develop new ideas that fulfill the mission of the program; excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills; knowledge of standard office software, including: Office, Photoshop.
Experience managing budgets.
