Christopher Ciancimino is a screenwriter and script consultant with over 20 years in the film industry. He began his career at 2-time Academy-Award winning production company Portobello Pictures, working as Head of Development, before moving to New York to attend NYU's Graduate Film Program. From there he co-founded Woodshed Entertainment (Brief Interviews with Hideous Men, The Normals) with classmate Kevin Connors and wrote and produced the feature adaptation The Normals.
Christopher continues to work as a script consultant and story editor, as well as a series consultant for a number of US and UK based production companies. He lives with his wife (cinematographer and fellow NYU Grad alum Kat Westergaard) and their two daughters. He is currently working on two commissioned feature adaptations, co-writing an original science fiction feature with director Stephanie Wang-Breal, and developing a number of series for television through his own production company. Christopher also teaches screenwriting at ESRA film school and is a guest lecturer and dramatic series consultant at Johns Hopkins University.
He is a member of the Writers Guild of America.
