A native Texan, his painting, drawing, and photography are inspired by landscapes, ecology, flora and fauna, natural processes such as erosion, migration, climate change, esp. of the greater Southwest U.S.
Interests and hobbies include documentary film making, photography, physical sciences, computer technologies, rock climbing, horsemanship, international soccer, mythology and ancient cultures, science fiction, cooking, kayaking, and pub trivia. Edgar takes an active role in the student-staff community at NYU and serves as a board member of the Phi Chapter Association of the Zeta Psi Fraternity of North America at NYU.
